Matariki Stop Motion Animation

This week in our Cybersmart lesson we read a story about Matariki and then made a stop motion animation in Google Slides.

We had lots that we could choose to include like the names of the stars, combining shapes to make a new star shape, include a title, choosing different colours and using the Explore Tool to find a suitable background.

To see our work click on the students names in the side bar to view their creativity.

Here is Haley's work...

So today our class made Matariki animation because Matariki is coming up soon on Friday the 2nd of July to Monday the 5th of July. We could choose to do 7 stars or 9 stars.  Without using a telescope you can see 7 but when you look in a telescope you can see 9 stars. Right now people at Mangapapa School are saying there are 9 stars.

Here is Hunter's work...

Today we made a Matariki animation on Google Slides. It was really fun, but I made a few mistakes like putting all of the stars on 1 slide. When I played through it it looked really cool.
